With this mod you can integrate the GroupDocs' online document viewer app into your Simple Machines forums. It will allow you to seamlessly embed and display electronic documents (DOCs, DOCXs, PDFs, PPTs, XLSs, etc.) on your SMF pages. The main benefit of our online document viewer is that it doesn't convert documents to images, nor requires Flash. Just insert a simple code associated with the document into a webpage and users can view the document right away in any modern web-browser. Also, thanks to high-fidelity rendering, text retains sharp and embedded documents look just like originals.
Supported File Formats
With the GroupDocs' online document viewer you can embed, host and view documents of almost any common business format, including:
Word-processing documents (DOC, DOCX, DOCM, DOT, DOTM, DOTX, TXT, RTF, ODT);
PowerPoint presentations (PPT, PPTX);
Excel spreadsheets (XLS, XLSX, CSV);
PDF documents;
Image files (JPG, BMP, GIF, TIFF).
Key Features
Real text rendering. Documents are not converted to images, but rendered as real text files. This allows users to select text right in the embedded document and copy it to clipboard.
Convenient UI. Users can turn over pages with the Go Forward/Backward buttons, which makes it convenient to look through large documents online, in a web-browser - no need to scroll them all day long. Moreover, users can quickly jump to a specific page and preview pages with thumbnails.
Text search. An inbuilt text search allows users to quickly find certain chapters or text blocks in a document.
Copy options. Users can copy highlighted text or download/print an entire document. Also, if you don't want them to, you can restrict any or all of these options.
