Description:

Note: This one still works with some browsers, even though the HTML marquee tag is officially deprecated.
It cannot be guaranteed to work with all browsers, and support for marquees may be removed at any time.

Are you nuts? Do you feel like doing crazy stuff just for the hell of it? I have just the BBC tag you need!

It will make people crack up laughing, or drive them bonkers, or both.

It's nested marquees that make stuff simultaneously bounce up and down and from side to side.

Demonstration here, if you really want to see it.

To use this tag, simply type [bouncy][/bouncy] with your content between the tags.

No button is provided, in the interest of maintaining some semblance of common decency.

The containing marquee is sized in em, to allow the height to be altered by use of font size tags. As an example this:

Code: [Select]
[size=24pt][bouncy][/bouncy][/size]
Will give twice the bounce height of this:

Code: [Select]
[size=12pt][bouncy][/bouncy][/size]
The standard height of 8em provides adequate height to get normal emoticons bouncing nicely.

The effect is particularly good in shoutboxes, where the emoticons will bounce off the walls too.

NOTE: the markup behind this mod (marquee tags) does not validate, but will not break anything and has good cross-browser support.

This is the same non-W3-compliant tag that has always been used to code the SMF move tags.

It is assumed that anyone who wants stuff bouncy all over their posts is prepared to put up with a few validation errors for the sake of fun.
