History/Features

Version 1.5

  • Updated file versioning to work w/ SMF 1.1.6.
  • Same functionality as version 1.4.

Version 1.4
  • Updated and added a few functions to remove all numbers from the post's subject and shorten the post's subject (if necessary) to a maximum of 25 characters.  This is necessary as many NNTP servers look negatively upon posts with these characteristics.

  • Same functionality as version 1.2.

Version 1.2
  • Updated file versioning to work w/ SMF 1.1.5.
  • Same functionality as version 1.1.

Version 1.1

Version 1.0
  • Updated file versioning to work w/ SMF 1.1.3.
  • Same functionality as version 0.1.

  • Post to an open news server (port 119) or secure news server (port 563 w/ authentication).
  • Each board may post to it's own set of newsgroup(s).
  • Customize the text used when posting to the newsgroup.  Allows you to embed the subject, body and/or link of the forum topic into the post.
